July 6, 2009 – Monday: Reality check

I always knew that Day 1 is a high-giver and Day 2 is the reality-checker.

Did my stretches and was at the club, quite early, but at a more reasonable time (5:45). I got my treadmill and scaled my ambitions down to a more realistic 35 minutes. 5 minutes there was supposed to be for the warm-up, but I was so exhausted at the end of 30 minutes that I adjusted my mental calculation to include the initial 5 minutes as part of the main course and the last 5 became the cooling down dessert.

So, there it is – 2nd day in a row. Struggled like hell, but still feeling good that I am at it. 30 minutes – 5 kms – 400 cals.

Stretched out by the instructor and got back home and got that “huh!? you just left home, didn’t you?” look from Deepu.

My body aches even worse today. Ouch all over.

Difference being that I genuinely try here 😦
The common theme of being unsuccessful is a different story altogether..
