April 16, 2009 – Thursday: Rowing and running alone

Prabhakar is not back yet and so by myself today, which otherwise implies a slightly less adventurous workout. 🙂

Thankfully, today was not that eventful. Hogged y’day and so was quite keen to burn off a few calories today. So, I was off by 5:45 from home and at the club by 6ish. Took the sunny scull out for a decent outing of 2 courses – felt good today. Technique and balance are still awful, but not horribly so and doesn’t feel that bad. Out by 6:45 or so.

Followed it up with a good 35 min run in the treadmill: started at 10 kmph and kept stepping it up. Ran about 6.odd kms and felt good doing that too. The knee was ok today.

Still feel that high pace is the problem and I’m not able to deal well with pacy and quick work, while endurance seems to be alright. Will have to do something to fix that.

3.75+ miles in 35 mins is awesome da! At this rate you can totally do a half marathon in 2 months! Super 🙂

Athu seri… Read what happened today.. And running in a nice treadmill inside an a/c’ed hall is no comparison to running on roads.. But, I am still aiming for July – when you are here.
